Computer Central

Just as a Pentium represents a refinement of PC technology, Computer Central represents a refinement of PC sales and merchandising.  More evolution than inception, Computer Central has grown tremendously over the past decade.  Now serving both home and office, Computer Central offers PC sales, service, and training, as well as, custom software and Novell and LANtastic Networking System and Internet connections.  Predicated on a belief to support what it sells and to sell only what a customer needs, Computer Central takes the anxiety out of buying a PC and turns "computerese" into a language a computer novice understands. Remembering its roots, servicing both home and business, Computer Central, already the best, keeps getting better.

Our History

Electra Mailing Service (1982-1990) ELECTRA built and sold a mailing list of every name and address in Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence Counties to anyone needing demographics on the Tri-County area. In the process, ELECTRA developed and tested software Electronic Management Software later refined into InstantEdit.

Electronic Management Software (1985-1990). Initially, EMS developed and refined a software package written for Electra Mailing Service. EMS modified the program InstantEdit, eventually marketed the generic software package internationally, then began writing custom software such as AS-II (Accounting) before joining the "Cadillac" of networking systems, Novell, Inc. Through exacting test to ensure itself of EMS' expertise, Novell certified Electronic Management Software as Gold Authorized, meaning that EMS exhibits the highest quality of expertise not only to sell Novell Networking Systems, but more importantly to service those Novell systems.

Computer Central (1990 - present). In 1990 and 1991, we introduced some major changes to our company. Our business has been growing by leaps and bounds ever since. First, we changed our name to Computer Central to cover the full range of services that we offer. Second, we purchased factory authorizations from Micromasters- a small computer center with the following authorizations: Magnavox, Star, Panasonic, Kaypro, and Commodore. Finally, we purchased a new building in New Brighton, Pennsylvania to make Computer Central more accessible to customers in the Western Pennsylvania Tri-State area. Since 1990, we have aggressively pursued to aspects of the computer industry: service, repair, and networking. We felt that these were the three areas that were in the most demand in this market. In 1990, Computer Central earned a Novell Gold Dealership status which requires extensive training and testing by Novell. We also acquired an Artisoft Dealership to sell LANtastic Networks for the small network user. In 1995, Computer Central continued to offer cutting edge computing technology to its customers by starting an Internet Providership at it's New Brighton location.
